Tim Atkin and James Suckling presented their annual reports on Chile

The British wine critic and Master of Wine Tim Atkin, presented last March, during the ProWein fair, his annual report on Chilean wines. On this occasion, Atkin tested 1,283 wines from 218 vineyards. For his part, the journalist and American wine critic, James Suckling, spent 4 days in our country in the month of March and in marathon sessions he evaluated almost a thousand wines. Koyle bottles were on their tasting tables with excellent results.

Vintage 2019: a warm year that announces wines of great balance

Beginning June, our cellar is already full of wines in barrels, foudres and concrete eggs. The malolactic fermentation is finished in 50% of the wines, and some samples indicate that the wines of this 2019 vintage will reflect a warm year, with outstanding results in the Cabernet Sauvignon of the F4 blocks and Carmenere from “Cuartel G2”.

Compost expert joins our biodynamic team

Convinced that biodynamic viticulture is the answer to achieve more authentic and respectful wines with the environment, this year we seek to further improve our work in the field. For this reason, the usual visit of our consultant René Piamonte, who travels twice a year to help us with biodynamic preparations, was joined by Bruno Follador, one of the most important compost specialists in the world in the biodynamic movement.

10 successful years of Auma

Since the beginning of Koyle, our family wanted to make a wine that would be the maximum representation of the expression of Los Lingues vineyard, at the foot of the Andes Mountains Range, in the Colchagua Valley. This is how in 2009, we launched the first harvest of AUMA, a wine based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere, which since its beginning sought to capture our respect for tradition and admiration for innovation, obtaining recognition from the most important critics worldwide, and with an evolution in the bottle that proves to be a world class wine.
